Fairmont State University hosts numerous SOAR Scholarship Events each year (December-February). The SOAR Scholarship is open to all first-time freshman students (who have no prior college) who attend one of our SOAR events. All freshmen who attend will automatically receive a renewable $500 scholarship, which is a total of $2,000.
SOAR Scholarship events allow you to meet with representatives from admissions, financial aid, student life, your academic area of interest, and more. There will also be refreshments, on us! These events happen throughout the state of West Virginia and beyond.
To receive a SOAR Scholarship, students must:
- Submit their application for general admission prior to the event.
- Attend a SOAR Scholarship event.
- Complete the university’s general scholarship application by the application deadline.
- Enroll in classes by August 1
